Farace here. Orlando, Tampa, and Ft. Lauderdale… you’re getting NORMAL — which is hilarious already, because there is absolutely nothing normal about Florida. This movie is about a substitute sheriff in a quiet town who responds to a simple bank robbery and accidentally uncovers a whole mess of chaos, corruption, and people trying to kill him. So yeah… “Normal” turns out to be anything but. Bob Odenkirk’s out here just trying to get through a rough patch in life, and instead he gets dropped into a situation where everyone’s got secrets, the mayor’s shady, and somehow it escalates to full-blown madness. Orlando, you’ve got theme parks hiding chaos behind smiles, Tampa’s just pretending everything’s chill, and Ft. Lauderdale is one bad decision away from its own movie plot at any given moment — so this should all feel very familiar. We’ve got advance screening passes for 4/7 at 7:30pm in Orlando and Tampa, and 4/14 at 7:30pm in Ft. Lauderdale while supplies last, so grab yours before Florida proves once again that “normal” is just a suggestion.

Synopsis
An unassuming substitute sheriff with a troubled past responds to a bank robbery in a small, sleepy town and unknowingly uncovers something far more explosive.
For Sheriff Ulysses (Bob Odenkirk), his provisional posting to the quaint Midwestern town of Normal was meant to be a welcome respite from both his marital woes and recent moral injuries in the line of duty. But when a botched bank robbery interrupts the municipality’s tranquil pace, a dark secret is inadvertently exposed, and Ulysses soon discovers that the town (and its mayor, played by Henry Winkler) is anything but its namesake. Suddenly everyone is trying to shoot the sheriff, and our put-upon policeman must rely on his affable mettle and some motley crooks if he is to survive the night (and that’s all before the Yakuza show up).
A double-barreled shotgun blast of pure mayhem from the creators of JOHN WICK and NOBODY. Starring Bob Odenkirk, Henry Winkler, and Lena Headey.
The latest collaboration between Bob Odenkirk and JOHN WICK creator Derek Kolstad andNOBODY producer Marc Provissiero, director Ben Wheatley’s (FREE FIRE, HIGH RISE).
NORMAL is a Magnolia Pictures release in theaters nationwide April 17.
