Hey, it’s Farace… and THE INVITE is proof that saying “we should have the neighbors over sometime” should stay exactly what it is… something you never actually follow through with.

You know who would’ve avoided this entire movie?

Portland.

Half the city already acts like talking to strangers is a violation of personal boundaries. The other half is too busy discussing locally sourced mushrooms and bicycle infrastructure to invite anybody over anyway. Honestly, Portland would cancel the dinner party because somebody’s emotional energy felt “off.”

Joe and Angela think one dinner might help fix what’s been broken. Instead, they end up trapped in a night full of secrets, tension, and enough awkwardness to make Thanksgiving with your extended family look relaxing.

Portland – Regal Lloyd Center – Get Passes

Advance Screening: 6/30/26 at 7pm
In Theaters: 7/10/26

Secure your passes before Portland starts hosting discussion groups on the emotional symbolism of not answering your front door.

THE INVITE looks like the kind of thriller where every bad decision somehow leads to an even worse one.

Which is exactly why I’m watching.

Go see it early… and maybe let your neighbors keep being neighbors.
