Hey all – Steve here.
This is it. Every year we wait and we wait for football to start and in 2020, we weren’t 100% sure that it was actually coming back. The pandemic was constantly sticking its nose where it didn’t belong and football just seemed like the sport that was least-likely to make it through an entire season.
There have been some major roadblocks and it seemed as though the NFL chose to let some teams have a few more days to prepare (Ravens) and couldn’t care less when it came to other teams (Broncos, Browns). No matter how you look at it, the NFL is crossing the regular-season finish line today and heading into the playoffs next week.
The one thing that isn’t different this year is that in Week 17, there are about 800 different ways for teams to either make the playoffs (Dolphins) or completely collapse (Browns). The NFC East will have a team win the division with either 6 or 7 victories and the division winner will have started off 2-7 – it’s both miraculous and sad. Let’s not leave this one off on a sad note, so let’s get to how we did in Week 16, our overall standings, and our Week 17 picks! Let’s do this thang!
