Hey all – Steve here. I cannot believe it is September already. Didn’t the ball just drop on Times Square? Now the holidays are right around the corner and the madness that is the end of the year. Ok, let’s take this one step at a time here – let’s talk September on Netflix.

Sept. 1

Agatha Christie’s Crooked House
Barbie Big City Big Dreams
Blade Runner: The Final Cut (1982)
The Blue Lagoon (1980)

Chappie – This one is just awful and I wouldn’t tell my worst enemy to check it out.

A Cinderella Story

Clear and Present Danger – A pretty great entry into the Jack Ryan series. This time around it is Harrison Ford.

Cliffhanger
Cold Mountain
Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles

Dear John – Decent attempt, pretty big fail.

Do the Right Thing – Spike Lee? Brooklyn? Gus Fring? This is pure greatness.

Freedom Writers – Full disclosure here…I’ve never seen this one. I’m not a real big fan of Hilary Swank. I said what I said.

Green Lantern – LOL

House Party – This one is a blast of a flick – just tons of fun and should be seen by all.
House Party 2 – Not this one.
House Party 3 – Not this one either.

How to Be a Cowboy
The Interview
Kid-E-Cats: Season 2
Labyrinth
Letters to Juliet
Love Don’t Cost a Thing (2003)
Mars Attacks!
Marshall
Mystery Men

The Nutty Professor – All these did was get on my nerves.
The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps – I didn’t even find them to be fun.

Once Upon a Time in America – This is Deniro and James Woods doing a damn good job in a flick from the mid-’80s. Give it a shot – it won’t be for everyone in 2021.

Open Season 2 – Always a fun one for the kids.

Rhyme & Reason

School of Rock – Speaking of fun flicks – this one was so much fun! Jack Black’s character may have broken a bunch of laws, but it was all for the cause!

Tears of the Sun – This one never did it for me. Did it do it for you? Convince me. I’m willing to be open-minded here.

Turning Point: 9/11 and the War on Terror – 20 years. Wow. Unreal. Netflix does a really good job with their documentaries and I’m sure this one will be no exception.

Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins

Sept. 2

Afterlife of the Party
Final Account
Q-Force

Sept. 3

Dive Club

Money Heist Part 5: Volume 1 – I hear this is pretty good. Any truth to that?

Sharkdog

Worth – Starring Michael Keaton, Amy Ryan and Stanley Tucci, the Sara Colangelo-directed film is based on true events and follows Keaton’s attorney as he faces the seemingly impossible task of determining the extent of compensation for families who were victims of the Sept. 11 attacks. I guess I’m in for all of the 9/11 stuff.
