Starring Charlie Hunnam and based on the internationally best-selling novel by Gregory David Roberts, Apple Original “Shantaram” makes its highly anticipated global debut with the first three episodes this Friday on Apple TV+.

Plus, acclaimed dark comedy “Bad Sisters” debuts its season finale episode and “See,” the global hit starring Jason Momoa, airs its series finale and final chapter.

Earlier this week, Apple TV+ unveiled trailers for new seasons of “Mythic Quest” and “The Mosquito Coast” ahead of their season premieres next month. Apple Original Films also released the trailer for upcoming documentary event, “Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me,” and the teaser trailer for musical comedy feature “Spirited,” starring Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer.

Shantaram – Global Premiere

Based on the internationally best-selling novel by Gregory David Roberts and starring Charlie Hunnam, “Shantaram” is a highly anticipated Apple Original series and hopeful cinematic love story coupled with a thrilling epic adventure that follows one man’s journey to redemption through a country that changes his life. 

“Shantaram” follows a fugitive named Lin Ford (Hunnam) looking to get lost in vibrant and chaotic 1980s Bombay. Alone in an unfamiliar city, Lin struggles to avoid the trouble he’s running from in this new place. After falling for an enigmatic and intriguing woman named Karla, Lin must choose between freedom or love and the complications that come with it. In addition to Hunnam, the series stars Shubham Saraf, Elektra Kilbey, Fayssal Bazzi, Luke Pasqualino, Antonia Desplat, Alyy Khan, Sujaya Dasgupta, Vincent Perez, David Field, Alexander Siddig, Gabrielle Scharnitzky, Elham Ehsas, Rachel Kamath, Matthew Joseph, and Shiv Palekar.  The series is co-created, written and executive produced by Steve Lightfoot, who also serves as showrunner. Bharat Nalluri directs and executive produces.

The first three episodes of “Shantaram premiere this Friday, October 14, 2022, on Apple TV+.

Bad Sisters – Season Finale

The newest comedy from creator and star Sharon Horgan, “Bad Sisters” is a delicious blend of both dark comedy and thriller set in the breathtaking coast of Ireland. The new 10-episode series follows the lives of the Garvey sisters, who are bound together by the premature death of their parents and a promise to always protect one another. In addition to Horgan, “Bad Sisters” stars Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene and Eve Hewson as the Garvey sisters. The ensemble cast also includes Claes Bang, Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab and newcomer Saise Quinn.

“Bad Sisters” is executive produced and written by Horgan with Brett Baer and Dave Finkel, who adapted it from the Belgian version of the series “Clan,” which was created by Malin-Sarah Gozin. Horgan, Faye Dorn and Clelia Mountford executive produce for Merman; and Gozin, Bert Hamelinck and Michael Sagol executive produce for Caviar. In addition to Horgan, Baer and Finkel, the series is written by Karen Cogan, Ailbhe Keogan, Daniel Cullen, Perrie Balthazar and Paul Howard. Dearbhla Walsh, Josephine Bornebusch and Rebecca Gatward serve as directors with Walsh also acting as executive producer. The series will mark Horgan’s first project to premiere from her first-look deal with Apple TV+. It is produced by Merman, her production company that she co-founded with Mountford.

In the season finale, “Saving Grace,” tensions run high as shocking revelations come to light. Time is running out for the Garvey sisters.

See” season 3 – Series Finale

“See” is set in a brutal and primitive future, hundreds of years after humankind has lost the ability to see. In season three, almost a year has passed since Baba Voss (Jason Momoa) defeated his nemesis brother Edo and bid farewell to his family to live remotely in the forest. But when a Trivantian scientist develops a new and devastating form of sighted weaponry that threatens the future of humanity, Baba returns to Paya in order to protect his tribe once more.  

The series features cast and crew who are blind or have low vision and has been honoured for its representation of the visually impaired, winning the Ruderman Family Foundation Seal of Authentic Representation in 2020. “See” was also recognised this year with an NAACP Image Awards nomination for star Alfre Woodard in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category.

Starring alongside Momoa in the third season of “See” are ensemble cast members Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar, Christian Camargo, Archie Madekwe, Nesta Cooper, Tom Mison, Olivia Cheng, Eden Epstein, Michael Raymond-James, David Hewlett and Trieste Kelly Dunn.

In the final chapter, “I See You,” Baba and Ranger infiltrate Sibeth’s camp, determined to stop her and Tormada once and for all.

The final episode of “See” premieres this Friday, October 14 on Apple TV+.

The Problem With Jon Stewart – new episode

Emmy Award-nominated Apple TV+ original series “The Problem With Jon Stewart,” returns for its second season with all-new episodes tacking topics including gender, taxes, globalization, elections and more.

Acclaimed host, writer, producer, director and advocate Jon Stewart, recipient of the 2022 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, leads with compassion and humor as he takes a deep dive into some of the most important issues of our time. Using comedy and common sense, the series features tough, topical and culture-moving conversations from the perspectives of stakeholders, experts and individuals confronting these issues.

The Writers Guild Award-nominated series “The Problem With Jon Stewart” is hosted and executive produced by Stewart through his Busboy Productions. The series is executive produced by showrunner Brinda Adhikari, alongside Stewart’s longtime manager James Dixon, Chris McShane and Richard Plepler through his Eden Productions, which has an exclusive overall production deal with Apple. Lorrie Baranek and Reza Riazi are supervising producers and Kris Acimovic is head writer.

In this week’s new episode – “Where is Our Tax Money Going?” – sure, people hate taxes, but maybe they wouldn’t if they knew where the money went? Well, we found out, and now we hate it even more.

A new episode of “The Problem with Jon Stewart” season two premieres this Friday, October 14.

Central Park season three  – new episode

Apple’s NAACP Image and Emmy Award-nominated, original animated musical comedy from creator, writer and executive producer Loren Bouchard, Josh Gad and Nora Smith stars a renowned voice cast that includes Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Kathryn Hahn, Tituss Burgess and Stanley Tucci. New guest stars featured in the second season include Aparna Nancherla, Billy Porter, Catherine O’Hara, Ellie Kemper and Naomi Ekperigin.

In the third season of “Central Park,” as Bitsy continues her relentless pursuit to buy the park, Owen embarks on a new promotional campaign to make more people fall in love with it, and Paige finds herself busier than ever when she lands her first book deal.

In this week’s new episode, “Lunar Palaver,” on the day of the Lunar Palaver— a big Squirrel Quarrels event— Cole has a run-in with a racist lady in the park.

Central Park season three, episode eight debuts this Friday on Apple TV+.
