Farace here. Seattle, you’re getting PROJECT HAIL MARY, which is about a science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship with no memory, slowly realizes the sun is dying, and then has to figure out how to save humanity. No pressure. Ryan Gosling plays Ryland Grace, a guy who basically wakes up and immediately gets handed the worst group project in the history of Earth. Solve the mystery of why the sun is dying or, you know, civilization ends. Simple. Along the way there’s science, weird discoveries, and an unexpected friendship that might help him not completely lose his mind in deep space. Honestly, Seattle should feel right at home with this one — a city full of tech geniuses, rocket companies, and people who probably already tried to calculate how long the sun has left while waiting for their coffee. We’ve got advance screening passes while supplies last for 3/11 at 7pm, so grab yours before someone from Amazon or SpaceX actually solves the problem first.
