Welcome to Week 14 of the NFL season, where Ed decided to embrace his inner Terminator and went 16-0, refusing to acknowledge the concept of human error. Anthony was close behind at 15-1, probably regretting whatever single pick he messed up. Farace, Tim, and Bruce all went 14-2, which is great unless you’re comparing yourself to Ed. Dave rounded things out with a respectable 11-5, proving that even in a week of near-perfection, someone has to keep it interesting. Overall, we collectively nailed it at 84-12, rocking an 89.36% success rate. We’re basically NFL psychic mediums at this point.
In the season standings, Farace and Ed are still tied at the top with identical 136-59 records, locked in a battle of wills and spreadsheets. Tim and Anthony are hanging around in striking distance at five and six games back, while Bruce and Dave continue their quiet war for relevance. As a group, we’re sitting pretty at a 66.8% win rate, which is impressive for us and terrifying for anyone who thought we were amateurs. Spoiler: we’re not.
Now for the picks, where the Lions kicked off Week 14 by beating the Packers in a thriller, and the rest of us try to keep up. Melo, who has never stopped loving Baker Mayfield, is locking the Titans this week, proving that loyalty can indeed be blind. Tim is banking on the Bills, perhaps inspired by Josh Allen’s ability to play hero ball and occasionally pull it off. Farace is locking in the Steelers. Anthony is playing it safe with the Eagles, hoping Jalen Hurts keeps looking like Superman. Let’s see who triumphs this week: Ed’s perfection, Melo’s optimism, or Farace’s faith in the Steelers.
